I am starting to use this to be accountable to my participation in the
15 week challenge to get into the best fitness of my life and to reach my goal of lifetime at WW. (-10 lbs).
Today was crazy busy at work with me starting at 7am and ending at 8pm. I did some yoga in the AM & then did the fitness challenge Workout Wednesday in the evening when I got home. Ouch, is all I can say. I need to build on my core strength, for sure.
Eating-wise, my day was pretty decent. I stayed OP, which is awesome considering the epic driving journey that was my job today :)
My husband and I moved to our apartment on the Danforth one year ago today! =)
Um, oh yes.
One more thing. So, this week's Weekly Challenge is to recreate one of your favorite recipes. Well, I have been craving chocolate chip cookies like there is no tomorrow! My favorite recipe for them is from Anna Olson. It involves large amounts of butter and sugar, which makes it SO amazing. So this week instead of indulging by making her recipe and subsequently eating them all myself, I decided to recreate it with a twist and try some other alternatives that would satisfy my need for chocolate chip cookies! Enter the oh-so-popular Hungry Girl
chocolate chip cookies.
I decided to try them, and OH MY GOD.... these are amazing. I had figured that I would have to add some butter or oil to them to make them taste "right", but they are VERY satisfying on their own. I have made them twice this week already (it's Wednesday night). I am freezing what remains to have around when I absolutely need a chocolate chip cookie fix. So thanks for the challenge, because it made think more creatively about using canned pumpkin & applesauce in my baked goods to save on unnecessary fats (butter, oil, etc). When I make others in the future I am going to try this substitution more often.
